This is the updated OE Stanadyne Pump Mounted Driver (PMD) which is installed on the side of the injection pump. One of the symptoms indicating that it needs to be replaced is if the vehicle occassionally dies, especially during the hot summer months. The PMD KIT includes the wiring harness leading from the solenoid on the back of the injection pump to the PMD. Stanadyne has found that many repeat PMD failures are caused by poor connections in the old wiring harness. DON'T SHORTCUT BY NOT INSTALLING THE HARNESS!
