The "PASS THROUGH TUBES" for the 5.9L Cummins common rail engine are the fuel tubes the screw through the cylinder head into the injector fuel inlet. The fuel lines from the "fuel rail" then connect to these tubes. Occassionally, when replacing the injectors or reinstalling the old injectors, the tubes won't seal properly leading to fuel leakage, hard starts, and rough running issues. It is not required to replace these tubes but based on our experiences we strongly recommend you consider doing so.
