This injector referred to as a "split shot" injector is to be installed in #8 cylinder to reduce engine noise associated with that cylinder in the 1999-2003 Powerstroke engines. It is a new OE injector-not an aftermarket "will fit" or rebuilt. It is the same as what originally was installed in the engine when the vehicle came off the assembly line. This injector can be identified by the "AE" code on the solenoid.
