This new transfer pump is for the 98.5-02 Dodge Pickup with the 24 valve 5.9L Cummins engine. It is designed with an internal bypass circuit. This allows the injection pump to draw fuel without restriction in the event of a transfer pump motor failure. This important design feature prevents the VP44 injection pump from self destructing.
